 Secretary of the United Nations has reached Islamabad, will appeal for international aid

 United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres arrived in Islamabad on a 2-day visit.

 Earlier, Antonio Guterres said that during his visit to Pakistan, he will appeal to the international community for massive aid to Pakistan.  According to the Chinese news agency, while talking to journalists at the United Nations headquarters in New York, he said that one-third of Pakistan is affected by the floods and that he would like to express solidarity with the Pakistani people and appeal for massive help from the international community.  They are going to Pakistan because at this time Pakistan needs full assistance from the international community.  He said that he is appealing to the international community for immediate assistance to the flood-affected people of Pakistan.  He said that now more emphasis is being given on the war in Ukraine because people have forgotten that the real war is to deal with climate change.
