India's cooperation in freedom will not be forgotten: Hasina Wajid


 Bangladeshi Prime Minister Hasina Wajid met her Indian counterpart Modi, 7 MoUs were signed between the two countries including water distribution.


 No progress could be made on the major issue of water sharing of the Testa river between the two neighboring countries. On Tuesday morning, the visiting Prime Minister arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan where Modi received him, an army contingent saluted him, he said.  Talking to the media on the occasion, Hasina Wajid said that India is a very important place for me and my family, I will never forget India's cooperation in the freedom of Bangladesh. 11 am Hasina  Wajid reached Hyderabad House where after a one-on-one meeting with Modi, negotiations were held at the level of delegations.


 The MoUs also include agreements on technical cooperation in IT, space cooperation, training of judicial staff, training of railway officers, TV broadcasting.  Bangladesh will get only 154 cusecs of water from this agreement. In a joint press conference, Modi said that the two countries have decided to start negotiations for a comprehensive economic partnership agreement.  India is the biggest market for Bangladesh. During Hasina's period, Bangladesh has developed enormously. Later, both of them jointly inaugurated four projects made by Indian funds or Indian companies in Bangladesh.
