Iraq: 23 people died in riots and clashes after Muqtada al-Sadr left politics
Violent protests erupted again in Iraq. During the clashes with the forces, 23 people were killed while 380 were injured. Popular political leader Muqtada al-Sadr announced a hunger strike until the violence and the use of weapons stopped.

According to official media, Muqtada al-Sadr says that he will remain on hunger strike until the violence and the use of weapons stop.
It should be remembered that yesterday Muqtada al-Sadr announced to withdraw from politics and close his political office, after which his supporters came to the streets, the protesters stormed the Republican Palace, the main government building located in the Green Zone of Baghdad. After which the army imposed curfew across the country.
